Everything in the new world will be interconnected via the Internet in what is called the Internet of Things (IoT).

This is also true for factories, electrical grids and city infrastructure in what is called the Industrial IoT (IIoT).

An enormous amount of data will be collected (Big Data), and decision will be needed to be made based on this data, where traditional analytical tools may not suffice. This is where Machine Learning comes in.
